This formulation (JZ4-161) uses shea butter and several triglyceride oils to yield a rich, white, moisturizing cream to improve the appearance and feel of dry, chafed skin.

Application: Skin Care

Formula Procedure

Add A to main vessel and start mixing. Dissolve B in A with continued mixing. Start heating to 65–70°C and add preblended C to AB. In a separate vessel, add D and start mixing. Heat to 65–70°C, then add E in order. When contents of both vessels are uniform and at 65–70°C, add DE to ABC with strong mixing without aeration. Mix at a high shear for two min. Homogenize for 10 min. Resume mixing and start cooling. At 60-65°C, neutralize with F (20% aq.) to pH 5–7. At 50°C, add G. Mix and cool until uniform and at desired filling temperature. Perform final quality assurance checks and fill product. At 25°C, the white cream is uncolored and unfragranced with a pH of 6.30.
