Formula Procedure

In a secondary vessel, combine A and start mixing. Add B to A. When uniform, add C to AB. Heat ABC to 90°C and add D in order to batch. To the main vessel, add E, start mixing and add F. When F has dissolved, add G to EF and start heating to 87°C. In a separate vessel, premix H and add to the EFG just prior to combining phases. When ABCD and EFGH are uniform and at the defined temperatures, add ABCD to EFGH with strong mixing without aeration. After 10 min, start homogenizing and cooling. When the batch is at 55°C, stop homogenizing and resume sweep mixing. When the batch is at 50°C, add I. In a separate vessel, combine J and, when uniform, add to batch when the batch is at 35°C. When the batch is again uniform, add K. When uniform, add L to compensate for evaporative losses. Continue mixing until a smooth, homogeneous lotion results. Perform final quality assurance checks.
