EZ-FLO TDX is a highly fluid dispersion that highlights the benefits of
photo-protected titanium dioxide with an industry-leading mineral UV filter
aesthetic. It was developed using a patent-protected metal oxide coating system
with Hallstar’s photostability technology.
This water-in-oil
sunscreen spray provides broad spectrum sun protection without using organic UV
filters. HallBrite BHB (Butyloctyl Salicylate) in HallBrite EZ-FLO TDX contributes a very good dispersion for titanium d ioxide. One person
in vivo testing yielded static SPF
57.6 and PFA 23.4 in a US lab. In vitro analysis suggests SPF ~ 58, PFA
(PPD) ~17, PA ++++, performance with critical wavelength 374 nm. Passed two hours
water resistance in vitro testing.
Application: Sun Care
Formula Procedure
Add A to the main vessel.
Start mixing. Add B with mixing. Heat to 75°C. Add C. Mix until uniform. Add D
to a secondary vessel. Mix until fully incorporated. Heat to 70°C. When both
phases are at their designated temp, start homogenizing ABC. Very slowly
add D. When batch is below 50°C, add E. PROPERTIES (25°C)
